How Can You Help?

Thank you very much for asking. If you weren't generally concerned for these families you would not have asked and we truly appreciate any and all efforts you expend on their behalf.

Listed below are some of the activities that individuals and groups have found successful. If you need further information on any of them please leave us a message on this web site. When you do, please be sure to leave your name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address.
  • Individuals have approached their employers to contribute donations.
  • Individuals have approached their churches and civic organizations to collect donations from the members and contribute one large donation in the name church or civic organization.
  • Individuals have donated automobiles that have been given to the Hidden Heroes when their own cars were repossessed while their loved one was serving overseas in a combat zone.
  • Individuals have made donations in memory of a loved one.
  • Individuals have joined together to hold large rummage sales and have donated the money earned on the sales.
  • Individuals have banned together and held auctions to raise money.
  • Individuals and organizations have had bake sale fund raisers.
  • Members of organizations have held "boot strap" fund raising drives by standing the curbs of high traffic intersections with Hidden Heroes posters and pails.
  • Organizations have held fund raising dinners.
  • Organizations have held classic car shows in the name of the Hidden Heroes.
  • Individuals and organizations have approached television and radio stations asking them to partner with them to raise funds. The public is asked to donate on this web site or mail the donations to the Hidden Heroes post office box address.
  • Organizations have joined with their local Chamber's of Commerce and placed donation canisters at the cashier's station to collect donations from the public. Hidden Heroes posters were placed in front windows and doors.
  • Businesses have had "point of purchase" fundraisers. Here the public is offered the opportunity to donate and there name is written on a small Hidden Heroes tag, which in turn is hung in a conspicuous place inside the store.
There are many more activities to raise funds to help these struggling families left behind when their loved one is activated and sent to a combat zone. Only your imagination can limit you. Whatever activity you choose, we offer our deepest thanks.

Please notify us before you hold your activity in the name of the Hidden Heroes Foundation. Unfortunately, there are many people who will try to scam the public in the name of a just cause like ours. When we receive the telephone call and someone asks us to confirm that your activity is truly a Hidden Heroes fundraiser, we want to be able to say yes. Thank you again.
